Astrosorcerer free beta demo
NOTE: I just changed it to be playable on the web now that I know how to export to WebGL, but there are currently some graphical glitches. I'm going to fix these as soon as possible. UPDATE: should be mostly fixed now I think but also if it's being played on a mac the game is sped up for no apparent reason and I don't know how to fix it.
AstroSorcerer is an indie platformer inspired mainly by Mega Man, with hints of games and game series such as Pizza Tower, New Super Mario Bros, etc. It is currently in development by me using Unity, and it will contain tons of content, such as bossfights, optional collectibles, and more, at the price of around only 3 dollars USD! It will have five themed worlds with multiple levels each centered around different elemental powers that will allow you to affect the world around you, and when you complete all five worlds and the bossfight and the end of each of them, a bonus sixth world combining mechanics from all the previous worlds will be unlocked, along with the ability to switch between elemental powers! This is a free demo of a incomplete pre-release build of the game, which will contain the short intro levels that teach mechanics for all five main worlds bundled together for free! The full game should be released on steam eventually.
Please note that this is a very unfinished and unpolished version of the game, and the quality should be much higher upon release. You can give feedback or report bugs here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeVq9y787RPnijeUsM8a0v_B9t3qDBNQ6tgniKXAfpuNPUAyg/viewform?usp=sf_link
Controls:
A/D to walk left/right
W to jump (or space if you change it in the settings)
Mouse to aim your spells
Left click to shoot a spell
Space (or shift if you have space to jump) to dash (quickly move in the direction you’re facing horizontally by a couple tiles without moving on the y axis)
S to hide in your hat (protects you from damage but you cannot move or attack and you can only do it for a certain amount of time that regenerates when you’re not hiding)
Escape to pause
R (hold for 3 seconds) to go to last checkpoint in case of softlock
Not in demo but in full game press 1/5 to switch spell types once unlocked (excluding the full game exclusive final world you have a set spell type for each world)
Controller support was originally planned for the demo but is temporarily disabled due to time constraints. it will be available in the full version though.
